Cambodia 2007
Here are some of the pictures taken throughout our time in Cambodia. We had the opportunity to see orphanages and schools in and around Phenom Penh, as well as the cultural history behind Cambodia and where it is today.

Arrival at Cambodia International Airport, seemingly new and very modern looking.

On our way to our hotel. Through Phnom Penh, most of the locals ride scooters and there are shops wedged into every street.

Our first meal, a small hole in the wall place that served Khmer, Thai, and Chinese. The girl in the background was cooking probably the best chicken legs I've ever had.

This was taken at our first orphanage in Phnom Penh on the top of the roof where we did our mini program for the children.

Trying to capture the bubbles. They were part of our lesson on how things never last.

Sherry, our teammate who was definitely a machine. She rolled her ankle the first day out there, but she made it through the whole week without reservations.

Joy.

Our pastor, Min, who showed brutal strength. I admire this guy, he played with the kids for more than an hour straight.

The many games we played with the children.

The kid on the left just loved to take pictures. This was one of many that turned out really good.

Some of the children from Phnom Penh Orphanage.

Pleasure and pain.

Some of the children doing a traditional Cambodian dance.

Shannon sharing her testimony for the church congregation.

Downtown Phnom Penh.

Amazing back drops. Taken out in the countryside.

Some more cute kids.

A seemingly shy kid.

The orphanages we went to were also a church.

The many dangerous manuevers around cars. Our driver was incredible.

A new orphanage that was being built. All were done by basic materials and amazing skill.

Contrast.

Victor and I walking through a remote village taking photographs and filming. As we walked by these men, I asked if I could take a picture and at first I thought they were waving me to move on, but they actually were getting positioned to take a group picture. I think they were gambling, super nice people though.

Walking by another house, this man was actually wearing some shorts and sandals before he quickly changed into some pants and some white shoes that were stored away in a shoebox for these special occasions. He came out and I was able to take a picture of his child-like heart.

Our guide walking us through the village. Incredible experience.

I believe this was an elementary school, classes were out for the summer.

I really liked this orphanage, the kids had so much fun and enthusiasm when we sang some old sunday school songs.

Same picture posted on Shannnay's xanga. The girl in the middle was super cute.

Link Tag.

This guy prepared 13 coconuts as his hands blistered and bleed for our team.

Not so good lighting, but the sunset and clouds was incredible.

The best off-terrain vehicle ever made...ever.

Our van made it through this...numerous times.

Beautiful Scenery.

Super cute.

This pig was enormous, it had to been over 150 pounds.

A local school out in Bantaey Meanchey rural area.

A organization founded by a British couple, whose goal was to prevent women and child trafficking and well help teach and develop technological skills to locals in Phnom Penh.

The memorial tower at the Killing Fields.

These were some of the skulls within the tower. They were dug up from the mass graves and placed here.
